Rate: $41,600 - 53,500, Annualized (Commensurate with experience, see below)

Position Overview

This position was just created to support the growing volume of work in the financial operations department of a large local organization. Specifically, the primary job function is to support all aspects of the invoice approval and preparation that is required prior to Accounts Payable processing. The financial operations environment supports a large volume of technology vendors; so, knowledge of business technology products and services is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The information contained in this position description is intended to describe the roles, responsibilities, duties and performance expectations for someone in the position, in addition to the capabilities and competencies required to be minimally qualified and meet performance expectations. The individual in this role may be responsible for any or all of, but not limited to, the following.


  • Telecom account and invoice management including utilizing electronic management tool
  • Technology and other vendor set-up and payment history research and communication
  • Processing requisition requests including entry in the ERP system, tracking and follow-up
  • Other duties as required to meet organizational goals and objectives


  • Process incoming paper and electronic invoices requiring the utilization of software tools such as shared drives and SharePoint invoice management
  • Purchase order matching and expense code documentation
  • Manage the Financial Manager Outlook mailbox
  • Manage written and verbal communication with vendors on invoices, issues, quotes, purchase orders and other business-related items
  • Develop basic financial reports as requested
  • Develop basic financial presentations as requested
  • Develop/document basic process flows and Frequently Asked Questions

Essential Competencies, Capabilities, Skills & Experience


  • Good knowledge of computer operations and software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required
  • Must be able to effectively work with technology (PC, Laptop, Software Programs, etc.) and have a demonstrable ability to use technology
  • Typing speed of 30+ WPM is preferred


  • Must have above average problem resolution and follow-up skills
  • Careful attention to detail, accuracy and consistency are critical to this position
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude required while resolving unusual or adverse situations and dealing with difficult customers with diplomacy and understanding, making sound decisions based on available facts
  • Outstanding listening and problem-solving abilities
  • Must be able to multi-task under stress


  • Excellent communication skills required with a strong command of the English language
  • Must have articulate, grammatically- and syntactically-correct, written and verbal business-level communication
  • Must have professional written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills

  • Flexibility to be able to work overtime in evening or on weekends if needed to accommodate increased work volume

Eligibility Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • The following will be required prior to start
    • Clean background check
    • Clean drug test results
    • Clear Tuberculosis test
    • Current flu shot
